Nonviolent Communication is more than a communication technique; it’s a way of being. Join meditation teacher and NVC trainer Bonnie Mioduchoski for a day full of embodied, experiential practice. Deepen your ability to identify, observe, and experience feelings and needs in the body, so your words align with your truth. The day includes guided meditations, discussion, and interactive practices to help you experience feelings and needs from the inside out. NVC and mindfulness help us deepen our connection to ourselves and others. These practices help us live with more compassion, clarity, and fulfillment.
Some experience with NVC and Mindfulness is helpful. However, you will benefit even if you’re new to both practices.
In this experiential workshop, you will:
- Gain skill in identifying and coping with triggers
- Learn basic mindfulness practices to identify and be with your feelings and needs
- Practice experiencing feelings and needs in the body for greater alignment with decisions and actions
- Explore tools that make space for unpleasant feelings and unmet needs, which leads to more choice and less reactivity
- Uncover challenges to being with your emotions and needs
- Practice speaking from an embodied place, so feelings and needs guide connection versus a formula
Please note: If you’re interested in an introductory NVC workshop, please check the NVC Boston schedule; this is not a basic introduction of the NVC model.

About Bonnie
Bonnie began her mindfulness journey with an 8-day silent retreat in 2005. Over the next several years she deepened her practice and attended numerous silent retreats, the longest lasting three months, as well as a 2-year program run by Spirit Rock for dedicated meditation practitioners. She settled in Cambridge, MA in 2007 to have access to a local daily meditation center and a major retreat center nearby. That year she encountered Nonviolent Communication and attended a training with founder Marshall Rosenberg. She attended many trainings and retreats since then and has led trainings for NVC Boston and served as staff at the New York Intensive several times. She enjoys bringing mindfulness and NVC together to deepen the learning experience.
Bonnie has taught mindfulness to hundreds of students in elementary schools using the Mindful Schools curriculum. She has worked with thousands of adults as Guiding Teacher for Mindful Schools, leading the Mindfulness Fundamentals course and also the Mindful Educator Essentials. She initiated and led a project to revamp Mindful School’s learning management system. This allowed them to improve the delivery and experience of their online courses and expand their offerings and availability.
Bonnie is a Certified Facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie and works one-on-one with individuals and leads workshops in The Work, Mindfulness and Non-Violent communication (NVC). She served as a mediator in the Boston small claims courts for the Harvard Mediation Program and led classes for the Boston NVC community. She has also taught at the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center. Bonnie enjoys supporting people to connect to themselves in ways that lead to balance, self-compassion, and integrity. She is fluent in French and English.
