Making Requests – Half-day Skill Building Workshop
- Do you want a greater sense of power in your life?
- Does not knowing what you’d ask for keep you from making requests?
- Would you like to know how to ask for what you want while deepening your connection with others?
This NVC skill building class will explore insights about living a life of self connection and interdependence, with a focus on requests –
the 4th element of the NVC model. It will include practices you can use on a daily basis to continue to increase your NVC skills.
It is through our requests that we engage the world. Even in ‘small’ interactions it is crucial to understand this invitation to contribute and co- create a new reality. Through requests we imagine what form our needs could take, and with the input form the other what new form of formlessness that can merge from form.
Some of the things we will be exploring:
Asking clearly for levels of agreement
Making do-able requests
Brainstorming strategies to meet your need
Using connection requests to maintain a dialogue.
This is an interactive, experiential workshop that will include practices you can use on a daily basis to continue to increase your NVC skills.
This morning workshop will be led by Gail Carroll and Paul Merrill.
